Pursuit of Purity – what does that mean?

A lifestyle of purity – what does that really look like?  I recently did a short interview with Dan Martin, Director of Parenting at pureHOPE (www.purehope.net).  Dan gives insights on the phrase “lifestyle of purity”.  Many have mistakenly limited the topic of “purity” to teenagers and single adults in the context of abstinence before marriage.  Dan clarifies some misconceptions many have about purity and he addresses this topic with some straight-forward relevant answers, and he does this with truths from the Word of God.

In this interview we address not only what a lifestyle of purity looks like, but also as a parent, the importance of modeling purity for your children and the future generations.
Dan also gives thoughts on a much asked question, “how do I talk to my kids about purity when I have failed in that area?”  You might be surprised at Dan’s answer!

Take a few minutes and listen to this interview and give us some feedback on the topics addressed here.  Have you been practicing some of these things in life and in your home?  What has worked?  What has not?  We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you for addressing these issues! I appreciated the ideas – especially about how to model purity to my kids. This gives me hope and some new ideas.

Excellent interview.  Making me consider how present “True Love Waits” to our youth.  May want to change the program name to reflect more on Living a Life of Purity.  Thank you for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed the interview and gained some insights!  I would love to hear how your class with the youth progresses.  If you have nuggets to share from your experience, I would love to hear from you.  Don’t hesitate to stop by and let us know how things are going.

      Blessings to you!
